Community-led proof of concept · Omarchy / Arch base

Privacy-resilient Linux, built the Unix way.

QuantumUnix is a proposed Omarchy-based Arch Linux platform for workstations and small fleets that need a clean Unix workflow, strong privacy defaults, hardened security, and a practical post-quantum migration path.

01

Shared

A reusable base with clean layers: Arch → Omarchy → QuantumUnix security profile → organization or user overlay.

02

Private

No telemetry, privacy-aware DNS, hardened browser defaults, local-first diagnostics and explicit consent for networked helpers.

03

Post-Quantum

Hybrid-first TLS/SSH policy using standardized post-quantum algorithms where supported, with safe compatibility fallback.

Not a new OS from scratch

QuantumUnix follows the practical pattern of a documented proof-of-concept: define the goals, specify the required stack, prove it with reproducible images, and publish the use cases.

The result is a platform profile built on established upstream projects, not a vanity distribution that forks everything.

Built on Omarchy

Omarchy gives QuantumUnix an opinionated Arch + Hyprland workflow: keyboard-first, developer-friendly, beautiful, and already shaped around coherent desktop theming.

QuantumUnix is built in public by Linux engineers, cryptographers, security and privacy people, designers and pilot organizations. There is no marketing — every line of policy and every signed package is shipped by people who want a Unix-style Linux that survives the post-quantum transition.
