Is QuantumUnix a new Linux distribution?
For the PoC, it is best described as a curated platform profile built on Arch Linux and Omarchy. It may become a distribution if the image/release process matures.

Is it affiliated with Omarchy or Basecamp?
No. QuantumUnix uses Omarchy as a base/inspiration and should clearly credit upstream, but it is a separate project.
Why Arch?
Arch keeps the base simple, flexible and current. QuantumUnix adds repeatable installation, hardening and policy documentation.
Why Omarchy?
Omarchy provides an opinionated developer desktop with Hyprland, keyboard-first navigation, and a unified theming system.
Does post-quantum mean unbreakable?
No. It means QuantumUnix plans for crypto-agility and standardized PQ algorithms. Operational security, updates and endpoint hardening still matter.
