The QuantumUnix PoC demonstrates how an Omarchy/Arch desktop can be transformed into a privacy/security-focused workstation profile.

Purpose

The PoC helps maintainers and early adopters discover rough edges, test the architecture, and decide which upstream changes should be contributed back.

Build pipeline

Build image from a tagged Git revision.
Apply Omarchy installation/profile.
Apply QuantumUnix security, privacy and crypto profiles.
Generate SBOM, checksums and signatures.
Publish artifacts to GitHub Releases and mirror to quantumunix.com.

Pilot plan

Phase 1 — Developer laptops

Validate hotkeys, theme, browser hardening, update process and daily-driver usability.

Phase 2 — Small fleet

Test certificates, managed configs, support workflow, backups and recovery.

Phase 3 — Security review

Threat-model review, SBOM inspection, AppArmor/Landlock profile refinement.

Phase 4 — Public release

Publish docs, reproducible build notes and signed ISOs.
