Linux engineers
Arch / Omarchy packagers, systemd, kernel hardening, SELinux/AppArmor profiles, secure boot, reproducible builds.
QuantumUnix is a community-led proof of concept. There is no marketing department — every line of policy, every signed package and every pilot is built by people who want a Unix-style Linux that respects them and survives the post-quantum transition. If that sounds like your kind of project, we want you on the team.
Arch / Omarchy packagers, systemd, kernel hardening, SELinux/AppArmor profiles, secure boot, reproducible builds.
Hybrid TLS/SSH stacks, ML-KEM / ML-DSA / SLH-DSA integration, crypto-agility audits, formal review of policy defaults.
Threat modeling, hardened browser baselines, DNS / network defaults, pen-testing, vulnerability disclosure.
Keyboard-first workflow, Org-mode-inspired theming, accessibility defaults, documentation that respects readers.
Public bodies, NGOs, research labs and small enterprises ready to run QuantumUnix on a real fleet and feed back what breaks.
Plain-English specs, threat-model notes, manuals in additional EU languages, screencasts and tutorials.
The repository tags small, scoped tasks with good-first-issue. They are the fastest path from "I'd like to help" to a merged commit.
Install QuantumUnix on a spare machine using the install manual. File issues for anything that surprises you — friction reports are gold.
Got a hardening idea, a PQ migration plan, or a use case we missed? Open a discussion and outline the threat model and the trade-offs. We prefer boring, reviewable proposals.
If your team can run QuantumUnix on 5–50 workstations, we'll co-write the case study and feed your needs back into the spec.
